Media literacy

There are 3 processes involving media literacy accessing, analyzing, evaluating and creating messages. Basically its all about the understanding of media, for an example, after watching a movie, its about your understanding of the movie, how you look at it, how your mind sees it. Identifying things such as censorship or bias can be analyzed through media literacy. Media literacy aims to enable people to be skillful creators and producers of media messages, both to facilitate an understanding as to the strengths and limitations of each medium, as well as to create independent media. The reason media literacy is important to FCM, is that students will know how to understand the context in media, and preventing the influence of manipulated information.
